5. How did you get into music?
I’ve been around music my entire life.  My mom was a singer, and, throughout my childhood and my classical ballet training/professional life, I studied music and was a performer. I always loved big orchestral arrangement and pop music. I feel as if I breathe music.

6. Who inspired you to perform?
I always felt inspired. Though, it was tough growing up as a dancer and performer since I lacked the self-confidence and was ashamed of my voice. I decided to be a dancer where I could still be around music and performance, but not have to open my mouth.

7. How would you describe the music that you typically create?
I always called my music James Bond Pop. Since I love big soundtracks and instrumentation of classical music, and I’m obsessed with Pop music. For me this is the perfect mix.

8. What is your creative process like?
My spark for an idea for a record may come from anywhere. Many times, in my dreams I hear melodies, and I wake up and record them on my iPhone. Then, I usually start writing lyrics about what I feel will go with a melody.  I meet with my friend and co-writer, Javier Cardellino, usually via FaceTime, since he lives in Uruguay. We start jamming and building a skeleton of the track. Then, I go on my own and work all the lyrics and rhymes. Basically, it’s a lot of back and forth until I have something solid. Only then, if I feel it moves me, I go and record some vocals to it.

9. Who would you most like to collaborate with?
As in another music artist? I have so many artists I love, I don’t know.

10. If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
Beyoncé I’m a big fan of her craft and esthetics.

11. Do you sing in the shower? What songs?
I do my vocal training regimen in my bathroom almost every day, does that count? I bet my neighbors hate me when 3PM comes.

12. Tell us about your current single?
One Time With U is my most commercial pop single yet. I think it’s very worldly, full of amazing fun dance energy, while the undertones are yearning for someone. it is actually the first song among six more tracks that opened the floodgates of creativity for the entire project. It’s the first track that I really let go on, as a writer, and didn't second guess myself. I just let it be. My goal was not to reinvent music:  I wasn’t creating something that had never been heard before. I wanted to create music that felt good--expressing emotions and making me want to dance. I hope my pop music will make people want to dance, and, after they do that, maybe they will start listening to the music for real. You have to make them dance first before they listen.

13. How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
I feel like it made it easy, but also hard, to get discovered. The reason is that there is so much to choose from. I am thankful for the freedom to connect with others, which is much easier due to the internet. The internet also allows artists to break through the locked gates of the industry. Thanks to the internet I don’t need to have the approval of a record label executive to reach people. No one, but me, decides what my musical fate will be. I will make it happen..

14. What is your favorite song to perform?
All of my new up and coming material. I am extremely excited about these songs.  However, I love what I created in the past few years.  I feel that, when the time comes to take my show on the road, that material will come in handy. It will allow me to create an amazing musical arc in my stage performance and story.

15. Which famous musicians do you admire?
I love Sam Cooke, Michael Jackson, Post Malone, Annie Lennox and so many more..today I listen to Leon Bridges, Beyoncé, Rihanna and many DJs and classical composers. I love jazz and reggae, so I’m pretty diverse.

16. What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?
I was expelled from school for two days for laughing at a memorial. I couldn’t help it. My friend opened her mouth and swallowed a bug, which produced an uncontrollable and loud moment.

17. What is the best advice you’ve been given?
“The universe timing is perfect. There’s a set time for your destiny.“

18. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
People in the industry need to chill. Show real support, for new talented artists. There’s enough success for everyone who is talented enough to make it. And, stop exploiting up and coming artists and their inspiration.

19. What’s next for you?
Before the quarantine I was working on One Time With U music video, which I hope to shoot as soon as we get back to normal life. Other than that, my new single GIGOLO is coming out on June 12th, 2020 and I am still recording and finalizing other singles, which I will be releasing every 6-7 weeks this summer….can’t stop the music!
