Alison Hernon is a visionary force in the world of fashion, seamlessly blending artistry and expertise as a renowned Celebrity & Fashion Stylist and Editor-in-Chief of PhotoBook Magazine—a cutting-edge digital publication dedicated to high fashion, diversity, and sustainability.

Based in New York City, Alison began her career at Interview, InStyle, and Vanity Fair, refining her craft as a fashion stylist assistant before stepping into the spotlight. With 25 years of experience, she has styled an impressive roster of celebrities, including Rachel Brosnahan, Maria Sharapova, the cast of Pose, Penn Badgley, Aubrey Plaza, Neil Patrick Harris, Anthony Mackie, and many more. Her editorial work has graced the pages of Vogue, Elle, Esquire, Schön, L’Officiel AU, L’Officiel Baltic, Glamour, As If, and Genlux, among others. In recognition of her expertise, she has been a proud member of the Wardrobe Union, Local 829, since 2016.

OWNER /CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Mike Ruiz’s long list of celebrity clients include The entire cast of Pose, Cardi B, Ruby Rose, Jim Parsons, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Prince, Taraji P Henson, Penn Badgley, Lakeith Stanfield, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, Adam Lambert, Kelly Rowland, Betty White and the list goes on and on. He’s also gone on direct several music videos for artists such as Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Williams, Erika Jayne and Rupaul and made his feature film directorial debut with the uproarious comedy “StarrBooty” starring Rupaul.

Mike has also appeared frequently on America’s and Canada’s Next Top Model, Rupaul’s Dragrace, along with dozens of other television appearances as an expert in his field.

Mike’s vast experience on both sides of the camera has given him the unique ability to see things from every angle making him an astute creative director.

Mike is most proud of his community service having supported such organizations as The Ali Forney Center, GMHC, The Trevor Project, Housing Works, It Gets Better Campaign, Live Out Loud, Project Angel Food, and GLAAD. Mike also donates much of his free time to helping animals in dire need by raising funds and awareness for pitbull type dogs.

ART DIRECTOR

Daniel López is a graphic and editorial designer. He attended the Autonomous University of Querétaro, MX, where he recently graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication, and a specialization in Editorial Design. Besides being PhotoBook Magazine’s Art Director, his projects include production and editing for music videos, as well as creating the design for a university magazine. His work is focused on mixing typography and editorial design with fashion.

ASSISTANT TO CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Mia Aponte is a New York–based creative working across fashion and editorial. 

She is a recent B.F.A. graduate in Fashion Marketing and Management from the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a concentration in art direction, social strategy, and editorial storytelling. 

With a background in writing and creative development, her interests lie in contemporary image-making, fashion storytelling, and the intersection of culture and editorial design. 

Her work spans fashion editorial, production, and visual research, supporting the creative direction of PhotoBook Magazine.
