Claudiana Beautanica is an eco-luxe body care brand offering a full-body experience that is effective and easy to use. Made with scientifically proven natural and organic ingredients, we created a range for people in urban areas to revitalize and empower their skin and senses. Additionally, the line complements a daily habit of self-care with aromatic skin nourishment that eases rushed minds. Our brand is a touchpoint to holistically caring for yourself and for the body of the planet.

5. What was the inspiration to launch the brand?
I am a certified advanced organic skincare formulator. My passion and creativity developed our body care formulas and the success of my formulas with friends, family, and initial survey groups inspired us to launch the brand. Like most conscientious small businesses, we look for a way to give back, and by helping our patrons feel more comfortable in their skin, we help them feel more confident, relaxed, & connected with themselves and with the environment. Our mission feels very pivotal right now. We offer smart, clean, quality skincare products that comprise selfcare as a whole, with innovative locally crafted formulas and low waste packaging.

6. I love that you source locally in New York? Why did you decide to do this?
We seek to keep all aspects of our manufacturing as local as possible, to support the local economy and to minimize our carbon footprint.

7. Tell us about your background and education.
I grew up in a rural setting in the South Pacific and was fortunate to have influences in my life, which helped to nurture my relationship with nature and natural remedies from a young age. I've always played with natural, kitchen-sourced ingredients as skincare, and, in 2014, I enrolled with the world's leading online organic cosmetic science school, Formula Botanica. I took my practice out of the kitchen and into my own studio lab and worked to gain accreditation as an Advanced Organic Skincare Formulator. I've studied extensively with the Tisserand Institute, the leaders in essential oil safety education, and Pastiche, an internationally recognized beauty industry education provider. 8. Tell us about each of your products.
Our line developed as a total body experience. We have our 001 (Whipped Body Mousse), which our line developed as a total body experience. We have our 001 (Whipped Body Mousse), which I created as the ultra-body moisturizer I wanted but could not find on the market. It nourishes similar to a body butter but is non-greasy. A little goes a long way, and it's packed with delicious botanicals and cosmeceuticals, such as vitamin C and plant ceramides. The aroma is subtle yet sensual, which people love. We have our 002 (Skin Soothe Ointment), a soothing and cooling easy-to-spread ointment that targets adult boo-boos, areas of minor irritation such as chaffing, and flakey patches. The aroma is treasured for its soothing and calming effect on the senses, a complementary therapy for anxiety sufferers. We also have our 003 (Handy Barrier Balm Cream), the velvet glove of hand balms. This product has unique characteristics and is exceptionally good at nourishing and maintaining the skin of the hands with its non-greasy, pearlescent texture and powder-soft skin feel. Our formulas form a cohesive line that moisturizes and nourishes the body with healthy, effective ingredients and joyful skin feels.

9. Tell us about the ingredients that you use in them and why is that important to you?
We keep our ingredient list clean, with natural and organic botanicals, because they have such an amazing affinity with, and provide real nourishment to, our skin. We boost our formulas with safe cosmeceuticals such as oil-soluble vitamin C, bisabolol and plant ceramides, and we use essential oils for their aromatherapeutic and synergistic benefits. We use ECOCERT-approved preservatives to protect against microbial contamination as we know the potential consequences of poorly preserved skincare products far outweigh the minimal risk of irritation from nature-identical preservatives. We've always avoided petrolatum or petroleum-derived ingredients, silicones, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, PEG's, parabens, GMO's, synthetic dyes, talcs, sulfates, and harsh preservatives.
