Beast recently launched the Hand Sanitizer ($5) that is 70% alcohol and formulated with aloe vera and vitamin E to effectively kill germs without drying out your skin. They will be including a free one with each shipment to consumers.

1. Owner name?
John Cascarano, President.

2. Brand name?
Beast.

3. Where are you located?
Nashville, TN.

4. Tell us about Beast?
Beast is a personal care and grooming product brand. It's all about amped up levels of botanicals to wake you up when you smell and feel it.

5. What inspired you to launch this brand?
The desire for energy, performance and just feeling like a better human.

6. When was Beast launched?
Company launched in Spring of 2015, although the concept and early products go back before that to when my wife told me to "Tame the Beast".

7. I understand that you are MADE IN THE USA, tell us where you are manufactured and why? You feel this is beneficial?
Right outside Dallas, TX. I have a strong preference for USA-made cosmetics and skincare items, or, at least, for countries where there's more transparency, consumer watchdogs, and quality control regulations in place. People should get what they pay for, especially when it comes to products they eat and put on their skin.

8. How is Beast sustainable?
We are innovating in the shower, where a lot of plastic waste occurs. (Just look in your shower at all those plastic bottles, maybe even some are grimy). Our Beast Bottle, made from aluminum, is refillable and reusable. Currently, we are pairing the Beast Bottle with reduced plastic pouches. We have a plan to take that to the next level in the future.

9. I understand your products are not made of plastic but aluminum, why do you feel this is a good switch?
In addition to the above, aluminum is infinitely recyclable. We have tested other concepts, like glass, but it posed a potential safety concern. Things can get crazy in a Beast shower.

10. Tell us about your products? What is your biggest seller?
Our Tingle Shampoo and Yawp Body Wash. People love that Beast tingle. We have some "under there" products for guys that sell surprisingly well.

11. Tell us about the 1% for the planet membership?
Last year, USWNT soccer player Kelley O'Hara joined team Beast. She's big on pushing us in an environmentally friendly direction. (She does so on call almost every week; she was an environmental engineering minor at Stanford). We wanted to give back on the environment, and they make it easy, such as by pre-vetting charities for us. What sealed the deal was we could give some of our donation not just in terms of money, but also by getting our hands dirty. This is (a good thing for us.)  Stay tuned for some pics of Team Beast planting trees.

12. I find your blog highly informative. What are some of your recent, top articles?
Soap and the COVID-19 receive a lot of attention. There is coverage about how ordinary, natural soap destroys coronavirus. An article gives love to some of the hospitals to which we shipped free products. It took work to find contacts at some of those hospitals. If someone at another brand wants to help, just contact me. I'll give you some addresses of people who can use free goods such as food and cleaning supplies.
