By/ Rosie Jane: Feel Good, Smell Good
By/ Rosie Jane is a clean beauty and fragrance brand founded by former celebrity makeup artist Rosie Jane Johnston. The brand is dedicated to “feeling good, smelling good, and doing good.” All By/ Rosie Jane products are vegan, cruelty-free, and made in California without phthalates, endocrine interrupters, sulfates, or silicones. The brand is also against single-use items and unnecessary materials, making its products recyclable, refillable, and 100% carbon-neutral.
By/ Rosie Jane is loved by many for its non-toxic perfumes, perfume oils, candles, body washes, body oils, and deodorants. Recently, the brand launched a lightweight body milk available in three scents: Wake The F*ck UP, Leila Lou, and Calm The F*ck Down.
I was delighted to receive By/ Rosie Jane’s Wake The F*ck UP Everyday Body Milk. For starters, the smell of this product is amazing. It instantly makes me feel like I’m in a garden filled with fresh citrus fruits. The scent is lemon verbena, grapefruit, and eucalyptus. The body milk is described as a weightless hydrating lotion that doubles as a toner and moisturizer to instantly hydrate skin and help even skin tone. It contains organic cucumber hydrosol to tone and tighten skin; sunflower oil to hydrate and replenish skin; turmeric root for anti-aging; and aloe vera to soothe and heal.
I tested this product after drying off out of the shower and was left thoroughly impressed. I despise thick lotions that take forever to rub and leave a residue, so I was eager to try By/ Rosie’s Jane’s body milk. I’ll be honest, at first I wasn’t sure if a product that feels so lightweight and absorbs so quickly could give my skin the hydration it needs, but it absolutely did. My legs felt so soft and silky after using this product, I couldn’t stop touching them and immediately covered my whole body in it! It also adds a beautiful yet subtle glow. I was very thankful that the product didn’t irritate my sensitive skin and even more thankful when my skin felt smoother than it usually does the next day.
