Pleasing’s Holiday Launch is Deliciously Nostalgic
Harry Styles’ beauty and apparel brand Pleasing is celebrating this holiday season with a whimsical new collection and retro pop-up shops. Pleasing, which launched last year in November, offers a variety of items: nail polish, skincare, makeup, apparel, and accessories. The brand has previously released four micro-collections: Perfect Pearl, Shroom Bloom, Hot Holiday, and a collaboration with designer Marco Ribeiro. Their latest micro-collection, Super Magic Family Time, is a celebratory holiday collection filled with joy and nostalgia. The micro-collection features 4 polishes and a special-edition gold Pleasing Pen.
The Super Magic Family Time Polish Set, $65
The Super Magic Family Time Polish Set features 4 polishes: Syrupberry, Pea in the Punch, Pinechrome, and Bottoms Up. “Syrupberry” is a vibrant pink creme polish, “Pea in the Punch” is an electric green creme polish, “Pinechrome” is a light teal creme polish, and “Bottoms Up” is a nourishing base coat. You can wear each polish on its own or layer them for more fun. Opening this set felt like unboxing a little ray of sunshine. The adorable vintage packaging makes this set so giftable, but you’ll want to keep it for yourself. The tops of the polishes will remind you of the kind of shiny, colorful ornaments your grandma used to hang.
Syrupberry Polish, $20
The shade “Syrupberry” is also available to purchase individually. As someone who struggles with painting their own nails, I was very thankful that all of the polishes glided on smoothly and easily. The Super Magic Family Time Polish Set and individual Syrupberry polish both come with trappings and decals featuring motifs from the collection’s packaging.
The Pleasing Pen Special Edition Gold, $30
The Pleasing Pen features cooling steel rollers with two serums: one for the eyes and one for the lips. The eye gel is made with natural lingonberry, okra, and hyaluronic salt to hydrate your undereyes and minimize signs of aging. The lip treatment has a demi-matte finish and is made with soothing marshmallow to replenish your lips. This holiday edition of the Pleasing Pen is made in a “shimmering ochre shade.” I love using this product in the morning as a pick-me-up to rejuvenate my eyes and lips and to feel more awake. It’s also the perfect size to take on the go or to pack in a travel bag.
This collection’s aesthetic is deliciously nostalgic. It reminds me of being younger and attending so many fun, family gatherings during the holidays.
