Hair care is such an essential part of most people's everyday routine. Everyone wants their hair to look the absolute best and will even spend lots of money on products to achieve that perfect hair look. Not only did Dr. Rubin wanted to create a hair brand that contained safe ingredients, she wanted to make sure that the products would still make hair look beautiful and effortless. Through Seen, she has definitely achieved the goal of keeping the products safe and good for the skin, while also providing voluminous, gorgeous hair that inspires confidence.
Some amazing features about this brand is that all products contain no dyes, parabens, sulfates or silicones, and it is both color safe and gluten free, as well as cruelty free. The healthy ingredients contained in these products aren't the only plus side to these products, though. Along with protecting your hair and skin, these products also guarantee less frizz, less hair breakage, smooth hair, increase in volume, and hair shine. Talk about a product that does it all! After reviewing the website and its stories, I couldn't help but notice that the review section was outstanding. Every review only had positive notes and feedback, many of which saying they will never go back to using regular shampoo and conditioner again, which is a pretty bold statement if I say so. After seeing such positive feedback, I decided to give these products a test run myself.
When opening the package after arriving in the mail, I immediately loved the presentation of the packaging. The design on the bottles is very clean and sleek looking, and the products look like they are luxurious and could be found in a high end salon. What caught my eye the most was the skin-caring Magic Serum, which is a hair serum for all hair types, and its job is to give the hair shine and control frizziness. I personally am a sucker for hair serums and oils, and can't help but want to try new ones. I struggle with frizzness and lack of shine in my hair, so when I read this serum's description, I was eager to give it a go and see if it really does the job. This serum comes in a glass tube with a syringe-like applicator to put the serum in your hands so you can glide it on your dry or damp hair. This serum is clear, which intrigued me because most of the serums I have used have always had some coloring or dye to it, which I am now questioning their safety due to my new knowledge of hair care product ingredients, thanks to Seen Beauty. The directions on the bottle said to apply about two to five drops to damp or dry hair, but add more if you have long or thick hair. My hair was dry and I do have longer hair, but very thin hair, so I dropped about four drops into my hand. As soon as I placed a drop or two of the serum in my hands, I immediately noticed something. This serum is extremely lightweight and almost felt as if I had nothing in my hand. I had to check my hand to even see if any product came out because of how lightweight it is. This made me excited, because thick oils and serums that I have purchased in the past always ended up making my hair look greasy or wet, which is not a look I prefer. So I take about two to three drops of this extremely lightweight serum and glide it through my hair with my fingers. This product really surprised me, because as soon as I put it in my hair, I immediately noticed how soft my hair was. I in fact took another drop and added some more serum to my hair. I continued to glide my hand over my hair, in awe of just how soft my hair had become. Along with the softness, this serum definitely gave my hair some shine. A problem I struggle with with many hair products that promise shine and volume, is that they also end up making my hair look too shiny, to the point where it looks greasy. That was not the case with this product. This magic serum gave my hair the perfect amount of shine and glow and took my hair to the next level that I desired. Something else I immediately noticed with this oil is that there was no smell. An amazing thing about this product is that it is fragrance free. Something this brand does that is very unique and also brilliant is that they give the option for a fragrance free alternative for all of the products. So if you want your hair to have a smell, you can choose the fragrance option, or you can opt out and just get the benefits of the product but with no smell. Personally, my hair and skin do not react well to products that contain a smell, since I do have sensitive skin and fragile hair, so learning that there was an alternative option for fragrance free made me content. Overall, this product is truly everything I have been looking for in a hair serum: lightweight, controls frizz, and gives the perfect amount of shine and softness. I also feel a new sense of comfort, knowing that this is not going to affect my skin or make me break out, which was a fear I did not know I needed until today. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family and pass the word around about Seen to anyone who is looking for hair care recommendations. As if there weren't enough great features about this brand, to add to the list, Seen Beauty products are also very reasonably priced. A bottle of shampoo retails for $29, and a bottle of conditioner for $26. If you think about it, most drug store shampoos and conditioners are only about $10 less of that price, but are filled with a ton more of harmful chemicals that will both damage your hair and skin. So I would say that the pricing for Seen is pretty fair. They also give the option for mini versions of each product for if you are travelling or want to try out the product first but don’t want to dedicate to the full bottle. I would highly recommend to anyone to get their hands on these products. My eyes have now been opened to just how important the ingredients in hair car products are and how they may be harming my skin. I definitely feel safe now knowing that there is a brand out there that is looking out for both my hair and skin needs. Not only are these products safe, but they work. They do the job they say they will, and do it all with safe ingredients. For the price point, the packaging, the job it does, and the protection it provides, this brand is an easy no brainer. I have tried many, and I mean many hair products, all different price ranges, and I can say that these products are definitely worth the purchase.
