Seth Lee

Seth Lee, the dynamic 21-year-old talent, is a multifaceted star on the rise, working in modeling, acting, and music. As a sought-after model, he has graced campaigns and catwalks for renowned designer brands. Beyond the fashion world, he is a talented musician, serving as a driving force behind the indie band "Blowing Raspberries," where he showcases his burning passion for music. Adding to his impressive repertoire, he is set to captivate audiences on the big screen with his upcoming  role in the highly anticipated movie "BUGS,” where he showcases his acting skills once again.

From modeling, to acting, and even being a musician, you have your foot in different, creative mediums. How do you balance your time working in so many varying fields?
Some days can be a challenge, but I find it super important to take each day one day at a time. Stressing out about what’s ahead will hold you back, especially since the most important thing about creating art is being present.

You have a lead role in your upcoming film “BUGS.” How did this part find you and what drew you to the project?
The director, Chloe Warmoth, and I have had an ongoing friendship for years now. I’ve always looked up to her, having seen her shine as a creative for so long. When she asked me to join the project it was a no brainer. The vision she had was so unique, I knew there was something special happening.

Looking back, what sparked your initial interest in acting?
When I was a kid, I met my soon to be mentor, Ernie Reyes Jr. . an icon in the martial arts/acting community. The star of the cult classics “Surf Ninjas” and  “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.” I remember stumbling into my dad’s office while video chatting with Ernie for work. My dad, trying to keep things professional, was trying to keep me off camera but I wasn’t letting that happen. Ernie saw an energy in me and decided to give me a brief martial arts lesson, and that changed everything. Immediately after I watched his films and knew I wanted to be an actor.

Without giving away too much, what can viewers look forward to from your character Kai in “BUGS?”
Kai was a fun character to play. There’s a unique twist of Kai trying to do what’s right but finds himself a bit misled by his villainous boss Exa Helman. I think viewers will enjoy his dynamic association with the Bardot sisters. It was a blast shooting with such a talented cast, and the chemistry is electric.

You have worked for a number of designer brands, both on the runway and on campaigns. Do any moments stand out as particularly meaningful in your modeling journey?
My first time working with Celine is definitely still one of my fondest memories. I met so many lovely people, and they all greeted me with such a warm embrace. It was my first-time modeling ever, so the safe space that they created is something I’m forever grateful for.

What was your introduction to modeling, and what are your favorite aspects of it?
As mentioned before, Celine was my first experience. There’s a lot I’ve learned to love about the industry, but I especially love the unique take on self-expression. There’s an immediate shift of energy when wearing clothes for the first time. It’s exciting to experiment with how you move and bring something special to the table when stepping out onto the runway.

When not on the runway, or on set, you can be found playing in your band “Blowing Raspberries.” How did you get your start in music?
I first started my musical journey picking up guitar and taking a lesson with a talented and dear friend of mine, MAUMAUMAU. I became hooked and, although it took me a few years, I eventually took the next step into making music. Now working with my bandmates, Brianna Reed and Michael Goodman, I’m excited to see what’s ahead for us.

How do you stay creatively inspired?
It’s super important to find time away from the projects I’m working on, to find inspiration in the outside world. Life experience is crucial to making art, no matter the medium. Even the little experiences, like walking to your favorite coffee shop, can draw major inspiration. Listen to the world around you and take it with you.

When not working, how do you like to spend free time or a day-off?
Typically, on my days off, I find some way to be active. Whether it’s surfing, snowboarding, or boxing at my favorite gym in LA, Fortune. On the weekends, especially during the summer, Catchin a movie with friends or family is a must.

It’s admirable how much you’ve accomplished, especially at such a young age. What advice can you give to someone trying to get their start in a creative field?
My best piece of advice is to stay curious and be open-minded. It’s never too late to learn something new, no matter how long or perfect you think you might be at your craft. We’re constantly evolving as humans, so our art should follow suit.

Following the release of “BUGS,” what's next for you?
I have another film, “The Midway Point,” which recently premiered its trailer. That’s on the horizon. Hopefully by the end of this year, you’ll be seeing a “Blowing Raspberries” EP. Outside of that, I have two feature scripts I wrote that I would love to give more updates on in the future, until then stay tuned for more news on my Instagram.
