Ten Albums Coming Out this Summer to Soak In

With summer right around the corner, here’s ten albums to look forward to.

1. Maya Hawke – Chaos AngelMay 31
Of Stranger Things fame as well as being the daughter of beloved actor and actress, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, Maya Hawke is set to release her third album independently being influenced by indie-folk legends.


2. Charli XCX – BratJune 7
Her sixth studio album featuring the recent release of its single “360”, as well as a music video that embraces the hot girls of the internet. This pop album will be on repeat beyond summer.


3. Aurora – What Happened To The HeartJune 7
The new studio album by the Norwegian artist that explores the vulnerability in existing in today’s society, providing a powerful message with her gentle vocals.


4. Normani – DopamineJune 14
Debut album 6 years after the split of her girl group, Fifth Harmony. With a strong voice and significant features under her belt, her debut album has several prominent guests.


5. Gracie Abrams – The Secret of UsJune 21
Sophomore album from the singer-song writer girlies out there with a Phoebe Bridgers Sun, Sabrina Carpenter Moon, and Lizzy McAlpine Rising.


6. Glass Animals – I Love You So F***ing MuchJuly 19
Fourth studio album, 4 years after their single Heat Waves took over the airwaves. A different summer, a different hit from this band.


7. Beabadoobee – This is How Tomorrow MovesAugust 16
Alternative/Indie artist Beabadoobee releases her third studio album which is produced by the infamous Rick Rubin. Her single “Take A Bite” signifies a musical growth that is promised by this album.


8. Atlas Genius – End of the Tunnel August 23
Third studio album from the Australian alternative rock band 9 years after their last album, bringing together the sound of nostalgia and the now.


9. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Wild GodAugust 30
The band releases their glorious eighteenth studio album, the first in five years. Their distinct sound will remind us this summer why Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have had this longevity.


10. Paris Paloma – CacophonyAugust 30
Debut album after launching her career with the runaway hit “Labour”, her dark femininity and the primal nature of being a woman both haunts and motivates her music.

It’s a summer of pop, with a wash of alternative music and a sprinkle of indie. The albums releasing these next few months have a tune for everyone. Get your earbuds ready.
