It’s that time of year again when temperatures start to drop, and warm days are accompanied by cool nights. Of course, no one said it better than SNL’s Amy Poehler and Maya Rudoph: ‘It’s Sweata Weatha’! It just rolls off the tongue with ease. Fall gives us every reason to have the most fun when it comes to cozy knits for chic comfort. This autumn we are blessed with a multitude of sweater trends with cropped, graphic, animal print, cut-outs, asymmetrical, and color-block joining the ranks along with the forever classic cable knit. Your knitwear expressions can be individualized, layered, traditional, and fashion forward effortlessly thanks to the endless design offerings available this season. After the summer we’ve had we deserve a little amusement with our style. In other words, let’s have the most fun with knits this season. Third, this is a knit cardigan. I think you get my excitement.
ALEXIS VELLI COLD SHOULDER MOCK NECK SWEATER ($385)
When it comes to details, I absolutely love and desire this Alexis ‘Velli’ cold-shoulder, mock neck sweater. It is at the top of my list. The design features a subtly sexy exposed shoulder (after all it’s also cuffing season), swirling knit texture, and all the goodness a great neutral color can give.
