Yay for Earth is a brand that celebrates and recognizes the abundance mother nature grants us. It was founded by sustainability activist, Stevie Van Horn, who is located in Boulder, CO, and is adamant about her environmental footprint. Stevie has been waste-conscious and started a movement of her own by living a low-waste lifestyle five years ago. Growing up in Colorado, surrounded by mountains inspired Stevie’s appreciation of the natural beauty and the riches that her surrounding ecosystem provided. Hoping to start a transparent conversation around climate change and the choices that affect mother earth, Stevie created a product that is safe for your skin as well as the environment. Yay for Earth!
The first product, the face lotion, is a remedy for nourish sensitive, irritated, and dry skin that Stevie struggled with. I also struggle with the same issues, so when I came across this product it was what my winter skin longed for! In a world with superabundant options, confusing ingredients, and misleading terminology, Stevie created a simple yet effective all natural, four ingredient face lotion. The balm like formula is lightweight and melts at the touch making it easy to disperse on the skin. I really appreciate the short list of ingredients listed on the label. It is really frustrating when one goes shopping for a moisturizer and there’s so many ingredients that can’t even be pronounced. Who knows what they actually are or do for your skin? The packaging is simple and cute. It is straight and to the point with illustrated stickers on the front and back of the tin. I will definitely be carrying the travel size tin in my purse and reapply whenever needed. I know my lips will appreciate that.
This sunshine in a jar can be applied anytime, anywhere. Yay for Earth was created for sensitive skin types but can be used on all skin types as well. It is an oil moisturizer which is easy to blend and a little goes a long way. It leaves skin looking radiant and feeling quenched. The four ingredients magically married in this jar are organic olive oil, bees wax, organic shea butter and organic pomegranate seed oil. Nature for your face! This skin drink balances, soothes, and restores hydration to the skin. For a natural dew, it can be applied in the morning, before makeup, or as sunscreen or at night after you have washed your face. This face lotion comes in a clear jar that can be reused or recycled.
