Coach Collaborates with Lil Nas X to Create a Playful and Electric Capsule Collection

Coach has released its newest collaboration, an eclectic and funky collection with “Old Town Road” singer Lil Nas X. The collaboration is a Winter 2024 collection featuring a variety of cozy ready-to-wear pieces and accessories. The pieces were “hand-picked” and curated by the singer, who is a global ambassador for Coach. The capsule collection, titled “The Lil Nas X Drop,” is an electric, personal, and funky collection perfect for the maximalist consumer, complete with vibrant colors and a Y2K aesthetic. The “Lil Nas X Drop” collection includes playful and vibrant pieces, customized by the Montero singer. With the help of Coach’s creative director, Stuart Vevers, the archives and winter 2023 pieces were tweaked to the singer’s liking. The collection, in part, was inspired by the rapper's connection to his music and the nightlife scene. The collection uses customized pieces to bring out all facets of the singer’s identity, allowing the collection to embody him as a whole. Vevers stated for WWD, “Our Winter collection is inspired by my belief that fashion is about exploring and celebrating all of who you are,” sharing the overall inspiration and goal of the “Lil Nas X Drop” collaboration. Many subtle details give a nod to the rapper’s personality and interests, like graphics that represent his zodiac sign (Aries), his pet cats, and his live performances.

The range of items in the collection all share subtle design details that bring out the personality of Lil Nas X. From the color choices and graphics to the accessories and prints, each show the identity of the rapper, and the effort put into the capsule collection. The collection has a large range of items to purchase. There is a selection of outerwear, from shearling coats, leather motorcycle jackets, and varsity jackets.
