Honoring Andrea Bocelli: Maestro’s 30th Anniversary Concert
The tenor and one of the most famous Italian singers, Andrea Bocelli celebrated the 30th anniversary of his music career on July 15, 17 and 19. The huge event gathered together famous guests and fans from all over the world in his hometown Lajatico.
The Teatro del Silenzio was where Bocelli hold the concert. The tenor is the honorary president of the theater and he holds performances there every year. For the rest of the year, the theater is silent. Considering the huge milestone of Bocelli’s career and the anticipation of the annual concert, one can imagine how beautiful and exciting every detail of the celebration was.

The first night Bocelli dedicated to his family, and started the night with his daughter Virginia Bocelli singing “Hallelujah”. The rest of the night followed special performances and duets of his son Matteo Bocelli, Sofia Carson, Jon Batiste, Sofia Carson.

A special appearance included Kim and Khloé Kardashians. Later the sisters shared a video with Bocelli lip syncing to the viral audio “I got married in Italy” from their show “The Kardashians.”

The second night was as exciting as the first one. The list of special guests included Johnny Depp, Ed Sheeran, Russell Crowe and more. Bocelli performed “Perfect Symphony” with Ed Sheeran, “En Aranjuez con to amor” with Johnny Depp as a tribute to Jeff Beck and Will Smith performed the spoken word rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

Other performances were performed by Bocelli’s daughter Virginia, Russell Crowe, Lang Lang, Nadine Sierra, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras. The concert was concluded by Bocelli singing “Time to Say Goodbye (Con Te Partirò) featuring Placido Domingo and Nadine Sierra and an encore performance of “Nessun Dorma”

The third and final night was again full of beautiful performances featuring special guests. Bocelli performed with Shania Twain, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Lauren Daigle, his son Matteo and Brian May. Sofia Vergara, the “Modern Family” star was serenaded by Bocelli to the romantic anthem of love “Bésame Mucho.”

For those who weren’t present at the concert, don’t worry. “Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration” film is set to be released by Sam Wrench in Fall. This will be followed by the release of Bocelli’s album “Duets” including many previous and new collaborations with famous singers and composers.
This was a magical celebration of Bocelli’s 30 years of captivating people with his extraordinary voice. Bocelli filled the amphiteather with his timeless masterpieces that each generation loves so much. His career, the performances and the special guests once again remind us how music unites all of us. Andrea Bocelli is a living proof of what talent and hard work together can create.
