KidSuper Announces Capsule Collection with The Rolling Stones!
This past week, October 13th to be exact, brought exciting news of KidSuper’s newest project. The streetwear fashion designer announced that he was teaming with Bravado to create a capsule collection for the iconic rock-n-roll band, The Rolling Stones. KidSuper created, what he called, “alternate artwork” for the band’s newest album, “Hackney Diamonds”. This led to the collaboration for a capsule collection. The designer paired with the band to create merchandise, accessories, and home goods. The collection dropped the same day The Rolling Stones 31st album was released. On October 20th, you can purchase the album and merchandise at the Carnaby Street London stores, as well as R.S No.9 pop-up stores in Tokyo, New York, and Los Angeles.
For more insight into the fantastic, eclectic designer himself, KidSuper. He is the creative director and founder of the company KidSuperStudios. Colm Dilliane, aka Kidsuper, has created buzz for his streetwear brand located in Brooklyn, New York. He has a successful brand, which is famous globally as well he designs for other companies. A previous project of his was working for Louis Vuitton’s Autumn/Winter 2023 collection, co-creating the menswear collection and debuting it in Paris this past January. He is a household name through his unique style and designs for his brand, allowing him to collaborate with designers and celebrities.
As Dilliane announced the upcoming capsule collection, it began with his artwork for the band. He posted his take on the iconic tongue logo on Instagram on October 4, 2023. The artwork consisted of the tongue logo created by red fingerprints. on his Instagram caption, he explained that the fingerprints represent the lives the band has touched over the span of sixty years. To make the artwork even more heartfelt, Dilliane said he was amazed by the fact that the band’s legacy by creating the artwork, with fingerprints that are his own. In the Instagram post, he said that he was collaborating with the band, allowing fans to know that a new collection was in the making.
KidSuper put his own spin on The Rolling Stones original artwork and has changed a few details to modernize the merchandise. The capsule collection will include a range of pieces from heavyweight hoodies, t-shirts, tote bags, mugs, and even custom artwork for CDs, and cassette tapes. Not only is the fingerprint logo included on clothing, but another print includes a shattered glass design for the logo.
