OSEA: Embracing the Power of the Ocean with Seaweed-Infused Skincare and Body Care

Since 1996, OSEA has been crafting clean, seaweed-infused skincare products. Founded by Jenefer Palmer, the name OSEA takes inspiration from nature’s elements: ocean, sun, earth, and atmosphere. OSEA aligns perfectly with our PB Approved standards, which is why I was excited to try their products. The brand was kind enough to send me a selection of their best-sellers and new launches. Keep reading for my review:

I first began my shower experience with OSEA’s Undaria Algae™ Body Wash ($12-32). The brand’s new nourishing seaweed-boosted body cleanser. This body wash smells amazing with an all-natural fragrance featuring grapefruit, lime, and cypress with mango and mandarin notes. It feels luxurious on the skin and works into a rich, creamy lather. A little goes a long way, which I appreciate. With a pH-balanced formula, this body wash cleanses and removes impurities without stripping your skin. Aloe and glycerin work to hydrate and soften, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and nourished.

Next, I used the Salts of the Earth Body Scrub ($48) which features a “dreamy lavender” scent. It’s made with mineral-rich salts from around the world to gently exfoliate rough skin, while shea butter and wild Gigartina seaweed provide deep nourishment. This body scrub made my skin feel like actual butter. Sure, I’ve tried loads of body scrubs that have made my skin feel soft, but none left it feeling as buttery-smooth as this one. It’s hands-down the best body scrub I’ve ever used. It has the perfect amount of exfoliation and doesn’t feel harsh or scratchy on the skin, and when mixed with water, it has a creamy consistency.

I continued my routine outside of the shower with the Hyaluronic Body Serum ($22-48). This oil-free and fragrance-free body serum is lightweight and clinically proven to boost skin’s hydration by 161%. Featuring 5 molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, vegan peptides, and nutrient-rich seaweed, this treatment delivers hydration for 24 hours. After using this, my skin instantly felt rejuvenated. It locks in moisture and feels like a drink for your skin. This is the perfect product to quench your skin’s thirst after a shower.

OSEA’s iconic seaweed-infused Undaria Algae™ Body Oil ($16-84) is clinically proven to improve the look of skin elasticity and deliver intense moisture. Featuring antioxidant-rich hydration, it softens, firms, and improves sagging skin. This body oil gave my skin a silky-smooth finish and a radiant glow. Unlike many body oils, it didn’t leave a greasy or sticky residue. Instead, my skin felt baby-soft and smelled divine. For those who prefer a fragrance-free option, it’s available online here.

I finished off my routine by washing my face with the Ocean Cleanser ($18-48), a refreshing seaweed-infused gel with a pH-balanced formula. This cleanser effectively removes impurities and excess oil while lactic acid gently purifies, exfoliates, and unclogs pores. It has a delightful scent of lime with sweet jasmine and bergamot. Like the body wash, a little goes a long way with this product. My skin felt revitalized, soft, and supple, leaving a radiant glow.

I thoroughly enjoyed trying out OSEA and the products have worked wonders on my skin so far. I loved the experience of using body care inspired by the sea.
