HELLESSY NYFW Spring 2024, The Modern Woman that Wants to Turn Heads
On September 11th in New York City, designer Sylvie Millstein unveiled her Spring 2024 collection for HELLESSY. Styled by Emma Jade Morrison, stylist to some of the most fashionable stars (Sofia Richie Grainge, Emily Ratajkowski, and Rosie Huntington Whiteley to name a few), this HELLESSY collection is for the modern woman who wants to make heads turn. The collection is full of modern twists on classic pieces that the HELLESSY woman can throw on and go with minimal accessorizing needed because the clothes stand on their own. A Canadian tuxedo is elevated with an ombre bleached wash, crystals, and a wrap silhouette. The white button-up is transformed into a half-placket shirt with hand-crocheted appliqués.
The brand’s elevated details are made possible by joining forces with excellent collaborators. French textile house and embroidery atelier, Maison Hurel provided embroidered butterfly appliqués on a supple peachy satin to be turned into a luxe matching set and mini shirtdress. Additionally, Millstein worked with a woman-owned Brazilian factory for this season’s crochet knits. Seen in everything from a cropped cardigan with billowing sleeves to striped flared pants, and a sleek black crop top and maxi skirt, these labors of love are showstoppers.
The HELLESSY woman is one of juxtaposition; who loves a simple staple piece, a feminine edge, and quiet luxury. Millstein has her finger on the pulse of both trends and innovation resulting in a collection that embodies the comfort of today and the excitement of the future.
